It means many offices are now charging buyers an "administrative fee" or "additional commission" of $200-400. We do not charge such a fee.
Doesn't every office do that?
No, many large brokerages charge this fee to every client, on every transaction. If you buy and sell, there's a good chance you'll pay it twice!
How does a buyer's agent get paid?
When a home is listed, the seller has already agreed to pay the buyer's broker a commission. The broker pays the buyer's agent from that commission and a buyer normally pays us nothing.
